Mango growers in the Philippines have asked for government support after prices for the fruit plummeted due to overproduction.
This year’s harvest has seen “an unusual increase” – in Luzon overproduction has reached 2m kilos – and prices have dropped to as low as 10 Philippine pesos (20c).
