China starts lifting coronavirus lockdown

China’s government has begun lifting lockdown restrictions on Hubei province, which was the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.

The government has started lifting roadblocks on bridges and opening motorway gates, allowing traffic to pass for the first time in two months after the lockdown was imposed.
