Private Equity (PE) firms are beginning to look at the value procurement can bring to a business, writes Paul Bakstad, supply chain – senior manager at Ernst & Young, in the latest soapbox.
“The new PE owners recognise the need to have a team in place that can help them to realise these longer-term benefits and make them stick: how to reduce the total cost of ownership for procurement and sustain it, and how to increase revenue though better reliability of customer delivery, minimising stock. Changes in PE have created a chance for buyers. Our challenge is to underline just how much we can help new owners meet their aims.”
Is the influence of Private Equity truly an opportunity for procurement?
