What is the most common name in procurement?

12 October 2007

While reporting on the profession we have been struck by the number of procurement professionals with the same first names. Davids and Brians seem to abound in the male side of the profession, while there is a plentiful number of Sarahs and Barbaras among the women.

There doesn’t seem to be much of a trend for celebrity names. Perhaps in 20 years we will see more buyers called Kylie, Chantelle or even Princess (credit to Jordan for that one). Let us know if they are out there.

Has anyone else noticed any trends?
