I plan to run "procurement awareness" presentation for the non-buyers in my organisation. I want to enlighten them without it being dry or a case of 'death by powerpoint'. Any ideas?

Our advisers said –
* use exercises, games and discussions, instead of just Power Point
* the key variable is time. For anything less than half a day, it is better to focus on one particular aspect - specifications and demand management perhaps or policy and process if you're putting in new systems
* concentrate on no more than five key messages, and try to engage your audience through discussion
* get the attention of your audience by discussing high profile examples of where supply of services have had both a positive and negative impact on an organisation - there is never a shortage of press headlines to pick from
