Rest assured

10 April 2008

The quality of goods and services sourced by purchasers can be make or break for the reputation of their organisation. And the issue of quality assurance is one that seems particularly high on the agenda when it comes to low cost country sourcing.
China has had its knocks when it comes to product excellence – only some of which has been justified – but there are measures you can take to help assure quality commodities reach your shores.
Among them are using a quality testing company to carry out checks to ensure durability and health and safety requirements are satisfied.
There are also certification bodies, such as Shanghai National Quality Assurance (SNQA), which assesses if a company has done enough to be awarded a certificate for meeting international standards for things such as project or environmental management.
