But months before the chief executive of Ryanair is reported as having given a much less romantic description of the negotiating process between the airline and its supplier. “We raped the *******!” he is said to have declared.
O’Leary’s approach to negotiations is explored in our current issue and based on extracts from a new book. Apparently while doing the deal for new fleet O’Leary would receive offers from one supplier only to fax it to the other asking them to better it.
