Energy deals confuse

A report into energy supply by Ofgem has found that information provided to small firms by energy suppliers is insufficient and often not trusted. (News, 13 November)

The report found it was difficult for SMEs to find useful price comparison data and to know if advice they received from third party intermediaries (who advise businesses on energy buying and often receive commission from suppliers) was unbiased.

Have you had any experience with energy buying, or dealing with third party intermediaries?

What advice would you give to energy buyers from SMEs?
