Max Mosley is to sit down with Formula One officials to discuss how racing teams can cuts costs in the midst of the global financial crisis.

According to this BBC story, he is looking to make cuts in the “power train”, which includes items such as the engine and gearbox.

This would seem a perfect opportunity for buyers to prove themselves. After all, buyers in the automotive industry have been working on improving buying and reducing costs in this area for some years.

Which areas would you target for cost cutting in F1? What advice would you give Max Mosley and motor racing bosses?
