Procurement: the album

11 August 2009
If you ever wondered what purchasing sounds like, then now’s your chance to have a listen. An album titled Procurement by UK band Anna Kashfi was recently brought to the attention of SM. The five-piece Manchester outfit favour a melancholic, soft acoustic sound and some songs are very easy to listen to. Have a listen for yourself here.  Its not clear why Anna Kashfi brandished the album with the name procurement or if the members have a history in the profession. But one review posted on the band’s website offers a little more insight into their music. "Beautiful, casting a seductive spell, controlled menace bubbling under the surface." Perhaps this is a metaphor for your average buyer?
