The combination of cold weather, broken New Year resolutions and the post-Christmas bills, lead experts to predict a quarter of the workforce will call in sick today. Psychologist Cliff Arnall, who worked out a mathematical formula for the day, recommends putting on a fun DVD, having some friends round, or calling someone you have been meaning to for a while.
