Africa special issue

9 June 2009
I returned from Africa over the weekend with some abiding memories of the continent and plenty to write up for our special Africa issue out on 23 July. My travels took me from Zambia to South Africa and finally Namibia, where I met many passionate and committed buyers. The profession has a big following in Africa and practitioners are working hard to boost its reputation and lead purchasing into the frontline of business activity. Our special edition will attempt to capture this spirit in a range of features. These will include an in depth look at purchasing in Zambia's copper mining industry and analysis of the different challenges and successes for the profession in individual African countries. We will also tackle big issues such as corruption and how African buyers are striving to secure recognition for their work. What would you like to read about in our Africa special issue?
