Keeping tabs on procurement

10 March 2009
At SM we've seen the word procurement and its various synonyms cropping up more often in the national press. Take today as an example. It was revealed that the Prison Service has saved £120 million by overhauling and centralising its purchasing. The BBC and the Guardian among others reported this - all freely using the word procurement. It is at this juncture that we would like you to help us start keep track of the profession as it receives national attention. So if you see a great example of procurement in a suitable context, let us know by leaving a comment below or via our Twitter page: www.twitter.com/steve_bagshaw
