Welcome to the first of our Fellows blogs. The Fellowship is a network of over 700 senior procurement and supply professionals who have achieved FCIPS, marking them out as leaders who have given back to our profession. The Fellowship Committee organises around 20 events globally each year and is active on social media.
The committee is keen to do more to enable Fellows to give back to the profession by supporting those up-and-coming professionals who we hope will be hot on our heels in future years. On 29 October the Fellowship Committee will be holding the first of our ‘Fellows of the Future’ initiatives. This will be an evening event held at City Hall in central London for up to 100 Fellows who will each be given a golden ticket to invite someone they feel holds real potential to be a CPO of the future.
The event will focus on the theme of leadership, with speakers including David Noble, group CEO, CIPS, and Craig Lardner, CIPS president. There will also be workshops and networking opportunities to give Fellows and rising stars the chance to get to know each other and hopefully set up mentoring relationships that will last throughout people’s careers.
If you are already a Fellow please think about who you would like to give a golden ticket to and book for the event via the CIPS website.
If you’re a CPO (or at equivalent level) but not yet a CIPS Fellow, there is still time for you to apply by October via the CIPS Fellows membership page. If you’d like to attend a ‘tester’ Fellows event first to see what we have to offer please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you aspire to be a Fellow of the Future please reach out to the CPO at your firm or any other senior professional you know and ask if you could get that all important golden ticket to accompany them to the event.
We look forward to seeing you.
