CIPS is supporting the Business Continuity Institute’s fourth annual supply chain resilience survey and would encourage members and other supply management professionals to to share their experience and expertise in this critical subject area.
The survey tackles the subject of supply chain risk management and raise the profile and value of the subject to organisations of all kinds. The survey in 2009 exposed high and growing levels of disruption, while the 2010 survey highlighted the vulnerabilities of globalised and highly optimised supply chains. The deep rooted nature of supply chain disruption, originating well below tier one suppliers, was revealed in the 2011 survey.
This year’s survey asks questions about the levels and types of supply chain disruption experienced, the impact of such disruption, and the techniques applied to gain better visibility and assurance through the supply chain. The survey takes typically 10 minutes to complete. All responses remain anonymous and all members completing the survey will automatically receive a complimentary copy of the final report.
Take part in the survey by 31 August 2012.
