The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has been voted one of The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for, in the Not for Profit Sector. Based at Easton-on -the-Hill, near Stamford, CIPS is the world’s largest procurement and supply professional organisation. CIPS employs staff globally, and has over 100 employees based at CIPS Head Office at Easton House alone. Other office locations include Asia Pac, MENA, Africa, Singapore, Turkey, Poland and China.
CIPS employees took part in a confidential survey measuring staff levels of fulfilment, motivation and engagement and the application also had to provide evidence of support for local communities and the public good. Based on the results CIPS received a Best Companies Index (BCI) score that also included one, two or three-star status. This year, CIPS achieved two stars from last year’s one and a hugely-improved overall score of 38 out of a 100 which was a jump of almost 50 places from last year’s 85. The full rankings and details of all the best companies will be published in The Sunday Times this weekend.
David Noble, Group CEO, CIPS said: “This is another outstanding result for CIPS and an amazing improvement on last year’s results.
“Best Companies is a highly-popular and well-regarded award given to organisations that have excelled in employee engagement. Best Companies exists to promote a global step-change in the quality of employment and we are pleased to be a part of that aim. Our application for the award was a cross-departmental effort with colleagues from different teams working towards this same goal - showcasing CIPS as a great place to work and a keen supporter of the local community.”
