Communicating virtually over the phone or by conference call or video is very different and, in many ways, more challenging than face-to-face conversations. To be effective in a virtual context it is very useful to know what actors and voice coaches know about voice techniques and body language.

This free Zoom meeting is open to Fellows only to attend.

If your audience cannot see you, you rely entirely on the tone of your voice and the words you're using, which is why you need to be sure your message is being received as you intended to prevent misunderstanding. During our Virtual Communications workshop you will explore:

    • How to differentiate between verbal and physical forms of communication
    • Strengthen your verbal communication skills
    • Be conscious of your physical attributes, including your body language and facial expressions, whether on camera or on the phone
    • Planning techniques for virtual meetings and how to be responsive

    You will need:

    • A device with a camera and microphone
    • At least 2 metre squared to move in
    • Comfortable, loose fitting clothes so you can move easily

The speaker will be running three sessions on the same day covering the same topic, so please book ONLY ONE session at your preferred time.

There are 20 spaces avaliable for each session, so please book now to avoid disappointment.

Please note these sessions will not be recorded.
