    Paul joined Hays Talent Solutions in May 2019 and is globally responsible for the definition, marketing and delivery of their Procurement and Statement of Work related services.  He has spent the past four years working on the supply side of the workforce solutions industry and before joining Hays Paul led the contingent product portfolio for KellyOCG.  Before joining Kelly, Paul spent 6 years running his own consultancy practice helping a variety of different organisations to buy and sell business services more effectively.

    Prior to establishing Insight Sourcing Solutions, Paul spent 24 years working for BT Group plc where he held a series of senior level procurement, commercial and change management roles.  During his career he has built up a large and relatively unusual blend of expertise in the areas of Procurement Excellence, Sales & Marketing Effectiveness and Talent Management. This accumulated know-how, underpinned by the practical insights gained from leading a variety of transformational change initiatives over the years, has proved hugely beneficial to the organisations he has worked with.

    David is an accomplished procurement leader with 25 years of international experience having worked in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, across numerous industries including life sciences, petrochemicals and management consulting.

    Since September 2018, David has been Head of Corporate Services Procurement at Novartis. This includes all the professional services categories i.e. HR services, external workforce, consulting, financial services, legal services, travel & fleet, covering an annual spend of $2,5bn. Prior to this David was Head of Human Capital Procurement for Novartis, managing the HR and external workforce categories with an annual spend of $1bn. Before that David was Head of the Packaging Procurement across all Novartis divisions, managing a spend of over $1bn.

    Before joining Novartis in 2010, David was Head of Direct Procurement for Borealis, the European market leader in polyethylene and polypropylene resin production.

    David has also worked as a Global Category Lead for Fleet with KONE, a leader in the elevator and escalator industry.

    David worked as a consultant with PWC in Belgium and delivered strategic supply chain management, sourcing and procurement solutions for PWC clients in Belgium, the Netherlands, the USA, Dubai and Jordan.

    William Johnson

    William has been advising professional services firms on aligning behaviours with strategy for over 25 years. His interest in learning theories and applications began when he was commissioned in the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, where after front line service he became involved in aircrew training.

    On leaving the Royal Navy he trained as an organisational psychologist and completed an MBA before joining a boutique strategy firm specialising in aligning strategy, structure and behaviours.

    In 1990 William began training consultants in IBM in basic consultancy skills and behaviours and his Openside Clients now include some of the world’s leading consulting and professional services firms and global organisations (including telecoms, FMCG, technology and pharmaceutical companies) looking to adopt the best practices and behaviours from the world of professional services.

    William is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, with an MA in Psychology from The Queen’s College Oxford, an MBA from Warwick Business School, and he is a graduate of Harvard’s ‘Leading Professional Service Firms’ programme.
