A competency framework for our profession

Our Global Standard for procurement and supply sets out what excellence should look like in practice, at all levels, in all sectors, anywhere in the world. Employers tell us that it continues to be a vital recruitment and management resource for providing clarity and transparency regarding the skills, knowledge and capabilities required by our profession.

Now more than ever, anyone working in our profession must be able to cope with volatile trading environments, increasing supply chain complexity and digitalisation.

The Global Standard refresh is underway. After extensive consultation during which we've gathered feedback from procurement and supply professionals globally, we are pleased to announce that this consultation phase is now complete. We've reviewed all feedback, and we're getting ready to share the findings when we release the updated version of The Global Standard coming soon. Access to the current online Global Standard continues as normal.

Important update about online self-assessment: During this transition, the online self-assessment has been temporarily removed while we align it with the updated Global Standard. You can still use the current online Global Standard to define your career stage by job title and The Global Standard level.
