What’s the biggest challenge you have faced as a woman in business to date?
Being recognised for my skills, talent and contribution. The other thing is that women are expected to understand / accept the cultural and upbringing dynamics from other cultures and races.
Who has inspired you (male or female)?
My father for his wisdom, his calmness, his teachings and love.
What do you wish you’d known when you started out and/ or what advice would you give your younger self?
To choose my battles wisely. I used to fight everything I did not believe in and later learnt to listen more before exhausting myself in an unnecessary battles.
What are the character traits of successful women and/ or what do you think makes a good leader?
She is beautiful in speech, in how she treats others, fearless and is not defined by her mistakes. A good leader is defined by her character that is adaptable, firm, direction, is able to make unpopular but great decisions.
Do you have a favourite quote or statement that sums up your approach to life?
I stopped looking at life as a challenge but an opportunity to seize. That which I face I will overcome because showing for the battle is half the battle won.
What do you #ChooseToChallenge?
Self. I must be better that I was the previous day. I should reflect on my opportunities so I deal with things wisely.
