The discussion is over. The debate on understanding CSR is no more. It’s now about monitoring how we are doing and ensuring CSR is embedded in our organisation in the same way as health and safety issues are.
We should be aware of our obligations as individuals, as individuals within organisations and the consequences of our indifference. CSR has gone beyond being an abstract idea. It hits the hearts and minds of each and every one of us, and it’s now about how YOU can make a difference. As Kofi Annan states “Our biggest challenge in this new century is to take an idea that sounds abstract – sustainable development – and turn it into reality for all the world’s people.”
