What's in the apprenticeship programme?

Once you have achieved the Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship you will be able to confidently deliver front line assistance within a procurement and supply department.  You will be interacting with internal colleagues across other departments such as Finance, IT, Legal and Sales to deliver key procurement related activities. In addition, you will also interact with external stakeholders as you support the different procurement and supply activities.

 

All organisations buy goods and services that need to be sourced and purchased ethically. They must align with national or international procurement laws, or internal governance processes. All of these skills are transferable into the public, private and charitable sectors due to the mandatory, internationally recognised qualification - CIPS Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations.

 


 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Ensuring data is correctly administered and maintained
  • Produce quotations/tender response evaluation
  • Supplier database maintenance
  • Purchase order review and conversion
  • Stakeholder liaison
  • Supplier selection support
  • Assist with supply delivery and quality assurance.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and Maths, (A*- C/9 -4).

Qualification level: As part of the gateway requirement and prior to taking the EPA, apprentices must achieve CIPS Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations  the approved qualification mandated in the Standard. 

Duration: The apprenticeship will typically take 18 months to complete.

Next steps - beyond the apprenticeship

On successful completion of this apprenticeship candidates will be ready to go onto:

CIPS Diploma in Procurement and supply or
