CIPS Accredited Degrees and Programmes

Procurement and supply professionals have different learning and development styles and requirements. There are, therefore, different pathways allowing you to achieve your internationally recognised CIPS professional designation. CIPS works with a number of Universities, Awarding Bodies and public organisations to accredit suitable programmes.

These include:

  • routes to MCIPS through Accredited University degrees (including undergraduate and Masters degrees)
  • routes to Chartered status for MCIPS or FCIPS members through Accredited University MBA programmes
  • routes to exemptions from CIPS qualifications from a number of other organisations.

The programmes listed on these pages will help you to find the pathway which best suits your needs, but please be aware that for each programme, there are specified requirements for you to meet, during or after the completion of the programme.

In most cases, you will be able to  join as an Affiliate Member whilst  following your programme. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to do this here.  You should check with your University/organisation to ensure you understand CIPS' conditions of accreditation and meet these as part of your studies. They will also be able to provide you with the code required to obtain your free membership for the duration of your programme.

After completing your programme, all applications to realise the CIPS benefits must be made within five years of achieving the accredited award.

For universities seeking CIPS Accreditation please view our University Accreditation Policy.
