United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

Location

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) have collaborated successfully since 2009 on Procurement Training and Certification. UNDP procurement certification courses are specifically tailored to reflect UN and public procurement roles, policies and procedures. The programmes are accredited by CIPS, assuring compliance with high international quality standards as well as offering participants access to a world-wide community of procurement professionals. The assessments are independently verified by CIPS, and successful candidates receive a joint UNDP/CIPS Certificate, in the name of the UNDP certification course which they have completed.

The programmes are delivered by UNDP to eligible learners as follows:

a)   for the Level 2 and Level 3 courses –  staff from the UN system (indicated on the UN System Chart, October 2013), non-governmental organisations, international development financial institutions and their borrowers, and Governments
b)   for the Level 4 course - staff from the UN system (indicated on the UN System Chart, October 2013), to UN sponsored staff in international development financing institutions, and staff from partner governments.
