A one-day workshop exploring the variety of tools, techniques and theories that concern the end-to-end negotiation process.

Upon completion of this course, delegates will be equipped with:

  • The ability to confidently engage in robust negotiation with a strong understanding of objectives and how to achieve them beforehand
  • The skills to plan for a negotiation, in order to best serve the needs of their organization. Furthermore, the importance of this phase will become clearer upon completion of this course
  • Knowledge of a suite of persuasion methods and their most suitable application
  • A keen understanding of the negotiation process from end-to-end, what each separate phase entails, and what the pitfalls and risks will look like.
  • The ability to diagnose who controls a given negotiation, and the rudimentary skills to change that when necessary.

    Audience

    Anyone who is new to the negotiation process in a business environment, particularly in the procurement context, or for those who need to refresh their understanding in this field.

    The course will put delegates through mock scenarios with each other, in order to best illustrate what the concepts look like in practice rather than theory.

    For those who are experienced in the field of negotiation and are confident that they are ready to enhance their skills further, the Negotiation Masterclass is recommended instead.
