Fellowship - Beyond MCIPS

CIPS Fellows (FCIPS) are senior advocates of our institute and the profession. Fellowship is the highest grade of CIPS membership; an accolade that recognises your outstanding level of achievement, knowledge and experience in procurement and supply, along with your passion, drive and determination to advance the profession for the public good.

CIPS Fellowship is a globally recognised mark of your professional standing and reputation; an opportunity to widen your sphere of influence, using your achievements and insights to inspire others, raise the public profile of the profession and play a major role in setting the global strategy for the future of procurement and supply.

    CIPS Fellows Criteria

    CIPS Fellows should meet the following criteria, however, if you wish to discuss your potential suitability before applying please contact us:

    • Professionals who are driven to promote the profession for the public good
    • Passionate individuals who have achieved the very highest professional level

    Potential Fellows must be MCIPS (if you are not already MCIPS and wish to apply for Fellowship please contact us) and must also be at least one of the following:

    • Chief Procurement Officers and senior procurement professionals
    • Leading procurement consultants and academics

    Application Process

    Applicants for Fellowship should ideally have been full members (MCIPS) for at least two years. If you do not meet this criteria and wish to discuss your potential suitability before applying please contact us.

    In order to apply please:

    • Complete and submit the application form, including supporting documentation.
    • The fee for application for Fellowship is:
      Outside Australasia
      £205 GBP and must be paid upon submission of the application form and supporting documents. Please phone us on +44 (0)1780 761585 to make payment.

      AUD $370 inc. GST / NZ $370 exc. GST and must be paid upon submission of the application form. Please phone us on +61 3 9629 6000 to make payment.

    Once a full application and application fee have been received:

    • The Standards Team will be in contact to advise if the initial criteria is met or advise on further information required
    • Completed applications are put to an independent Fellowship Panel
    • An outcome will be given within eight weeks of a valid application being accepted
    • Unsuccessful applicants will be advised on an action plan to encourage a successful submission in the future.

    Here’s your opportunity to step up and demonstrate your commitment to maintaining your professional standards and current ethical, professional conduct.

    Once you have achieved MCIPS or FCIPS, your designation will be recognised globally. MCIPS and FCIPS Chartered Professional status will provide assurance for your employer, peers and clients that you have continued to build on your academic achievements to stay relevant and up to date.
