    As we approach 29 March 2019 there are still many questions to be answered about what Brexit will mean so our September event will focus on bringing Brexit to life from a CPO’s perspective.

    Philip Molnar, Chief Procurement & Technical Officer at Britvic will share his insights on the impact that Brexit is having on this internationally recognised business and its supply base. As well as its core markets of GB, Ireland and France, Britvic brands are distributed to over 50 countries. Britvic has a portfolio of famous brands including Robinsons, Tango, J2O, drench, MiWadi, Ballygowan, Teisseire, Fruité, Maguary and DaFruta. In addition, in GB and Ireland, the company produces and sells a number of PepsiCo’s famous soft drinks brands, including Pepsi, 7UP, SoBe and Mountain Dew, under exclusive agreements with PepsiCo.

    Although Brexit raises operational and financial challenges which Philip will share and elaborate upon, it also is driving his Procurement team to “unshackle” their minds and creative juices to look at new sources of supply, changing specifications and challenging the “business as usual” mindset.

    Whatever form Brexit will take, all is not lost given thought, motivation and a forward thinking approach.

    Philip Molnar

    Chief Procurement & Technical OfficerBritvic

    Philip Molnar is an experienced International Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement Executive.

    Philip has over 35 years of experience and a bias towards business start-up and turnarounds in the retail, FMCG, B2B, food / beverage, and hospitality sectors.

    Philip has worked and travelled extensively with major blue chip and private equity-owned businesses such as Pepsi, IBM, Starbucks, Findus, and is currently at Britvic as Chief Procurement & Technical Officer responsible for more than £1 billion of global corporate spend and all R&D, and product quality.

    Dynamic commercial and economic challenges and change have been strong key themes during his career, including:

    • the opening of central and Eastern Europe;
    • rapid economic expansion in the Middle East;
    • the commercial growth of India;
    • the challenges of financial turbulence in Canada / US and Europe post 2008
    • strong corporate growth or cost reduction ambitions;
    • the implications of Brexit

    Whilst Philip strongly believes in having a thorough sourcing and negotiating strategy, he is also a firm believer that extra-ordinary value creation in procurement comes from innovative and creative thinking, the rigorous challenging of the status quo and to appreciate how procurement forms an integral part of the broader supply chain.

    A committed Brexiteer, Philip works near London, but lives in Edinburgh.
