Michael is an experienced commercial lawyer who also specialises in public procurement matters.
He advises on commercial and contract matters including terms and conditions of trade, agency and distribution agreements, website terms, supply agreements, framework agreements and other specific agreements for specialised and service projects.
In addition, he advises contracting authorities and utilities on a range of contentious and non-contentious EU public procurement law matters. He also advises private sector companies on their bids for public contracts and how to challenge award decisions, providing a view of procurement from both sides.
He also advises on freedom of information and data protection matters.
Michael has a background in providing legal advice on both Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership schemes.
He has previously worked both in the public and private sectors and has experience of working in an in-house legal team at a large county council where he provided legal advice on procurement law as well as a range of commercial contracts projects and other local government matters.
He is a member of the Procurement Lawyers’ Association.
