The Construction Leadership Council has said the ‘Construction Playbook ‘aims to embed a new approach to the procurement and delivery of construction projects and programmes, which is more collaborative, engages the whole supply chain, encourages investment in innovation and skills’. Whereas according to the Association for Consultancy and Engineering it's about ‘outlining how the client and market’s commercial relationships can evolve to can meet political ambitions to go “faster, better, greener”, the Construction Playbook also champions best-practice in procurement and contracting’.

Hosted by Steve Baker - YORhub Joint Chair of Operations, and Fergus Aitken, YORbuild Framework Programme Manager, the two speakers will discuss the playbook, which parts are a new approach and how it can assist procurements. They will also discuss other current areas of work the Construction Playbook links to such as MMC, the Construction innovation Hub Value Toolkit and Cambridge University Draft Carbon Code trial.
