Established in 2018 the CIPS Professional Services 4.0 Specialist Knowledge Group (SKG) was brought together to enable networking and knowledge share between the next generation of procurement specialists working in the following sectors:

  • Legal
  • Financial     
  • Banking
  • Professional Services

This dynamic group offers the chance to engage with like-minded professionals, to discuss work-based challenges and an opportunity to discuss best practice to best fit your organisation.

    Welcome to the Professional Services 4.0 SKG

    The Professional services 4.0 SKG was established to offer networking and knowledge share opportunities to the mid managers who are currently working in the legal, financial, banking and professional services sector.

    Established in 2018 by the senior Professional Services SKG, the 4.0 group discusses tactical, operational and managerial challenges that affect their working roles, and discusses plausible solutions from a technology perspective and through best practice share.

    The group is open, dynamic and operates under Chatham House Rules, currently the group have space to invite new attendees who are also working at a mid management level in any of the sectors noted.

    To collectively drive innovation, develop and share best practice and shape the future of Procurement, for the benefit of its group members and the wider profession.

    How this SKG networks:

    With quarterly face to face meetings held across member offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle, the meetings present an opportunity to network, engage with group discussions and collaborate with the group on best practice materials and presentations, with the opportunity to participate in the Professional Services Annual Procurement Conference.

    The CIPS Professional Services Specialist Knowledge Group members operate daily in the Professional Services sector. With this comes the experiences and challenges of a procurement role.

    Our members aim to share good practice and guidance that has brought about solutions within their working roles. The information that members choose to share represents their passion for procurement and the desire to support like-minded professionals who may work within the sector or members from other sectors who can utilise some of the content into their own working roles.
