What is your biggest achievement whilst volunteering for CIPS?
I chose to volunteer because of the passion I have for the procurement profession. It is a profession that has a positive impact on the organization on spend analysis and how procurement strategies can be applied in organizations. It is for this reason that upcoming procurement professionals have to be imparted in knowledge that will help them perform well in their organization and they will bring sanity to the way organizations procure its needs.... As a lecturer, my volunteer work was made easy because I teach and bring up future procurement professionals.
What is your biggest achievement while volunteering for CIPS?
My biggest achievement was participating in career talks encouraging the young aspirants to pursue the program. It has also enabled me to develop in the career in that I have been teaching procurement and supply subjects in a number of colleges and university. I have a lot of passion for being a volunteer....being a volunteer has made me be a committed person to the profession. I am able to discuss issues with stakeholders that raise the platform of the profession. When people see me, they see CIPS. I have been with CIPS since early 1990s. I will always cherish and devote myself in lifting the profile of CIPS.
