What's it all About?
Celebrating Volunteers’ Week 1 – 7 June
This week CIPS celebrates Volunteers’ Week, which recognises the valuable contribution that volunteers make across our global community. We have over 600 volunteers globally who take a substantial amount of time out of their already very busy lives to give something back to the profession. In recognition of this commitment we are pleased to be able to present our volunteers with time served awards acknowledging their length of service to CIPS. Our volunteers wear their badge with pride and are happy to advise other interested members on how they can get involved.
People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the profession or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge.

How you can get involved
CIPS is extremely fortunate to have so many enthusiastic and committed members who volunteer in many different ways and activities from:
- Organising knowledge and networking events through their local Branches
- Going into schools to educate our professionals of the future on a career in procurement
- Serving on Congress to be the voice of the membership.
Whatever your reason or particular skill there is a part for you to play in the CIPS volunteer network and we would love to have your involvement. Find out more about volunteering or contact a member of the CIPS team to find out what’s happing in your area. Branchevents@cips.org
We look forward to welcoming more of you into our volunteering community.
