Are you a commercial professional who has expertise in developing sourcing strategies? Here at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) we are recruiting for a Head of Strategic Sourcing to come and join the commercial team within our Finance Directorate, leading on complex commercial delivery.
This is an ideal time to join the CPS commercial team, who are expanding and developing their function to deliver a wide-ranging, transformative commercial strategy. The commercial team play a vital part through working with customers, suppliers, and markets to ensure our diverse range of services are provided to the highest quality and deliver excellent value for money.
The role of Head of Strategic Sourcing sits within the commercial leadership team, leading on all aspects of sourcing activities, ensuring projects, plans and roadmaps are in place for business-critical system delivery. You will be embedding and establishing key concepts into the commercial delivery such as delivery modelling, market health and capability, risk allocation and pricing mechanisms. Working with internal and external stakeholders to support and ensure service improvement.
We are looking for an individual who has experience of leading, planning and managing all aspects of strategic sourcing and complex procurement activities. You will have strong communication and collaborating skills, and be able to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally across other government departments. Working closely with finance managers to ensure checks, controls and mechanisms are in place to deliver the best possible commercial service for the CPS.
