Procurement Category Lead for Marketing

Market Leader in Technology Services

Location: Paris, Fr + Hybrid Working Offered

Salary: 400-450 P/D

Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement category Lead for marketing. As a Procurement Category Lead, you will play a crucial role in bringing a step change in savings and value while ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and total vendor value. You will have a global impact on the Marketing and Communication category, reporting to Global Marketing manager, and business stakeholders to deliver projects and actions aligned with the strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the purchasing strategies and developing category initiatives reviewing the budget process and forecasting procurement cost saving initiatives. The candidate will also be able to maximise spend coverage within the category and ensure suppliers adhere to company values and policies.

Key Responsibilities for the Procurement Marketing Category Lead:

  • Align and Guide the strategic direction of procurement function for the overall business initiatives
  • Work with the group team to develop policies, procedure, and standards within the Marketing category
  • Lead regional-driven transformation approaches acting as the local procurement single point of contact
  • Manage projects within timescales and budgets to improve efficiency and effectiveness to enhance category savings targets and customer satisfaction

Essential Skills the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Successful track record in achieving cost savings and enhancing customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions for complex purchasing initiatives in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, adept at working both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Flexibility and strong influencing skills to employ facilitative and directive approaches when "selling" methods to customers and negotiating with suppliers
  • Strong negotiator with intellectual and relationship-based negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English and French is required; other EU languages are welcome
  • Strong Marketing and Procurement expertise is essential
