This innovative and strategic IT procurement function control all aspects of IT and software spend across the group which includes a wide variety of subcategories including; Enterprise Software, SaaS and Software Services, Engineering & Manufacturing Software, Networks, Telecoms, Hardware, Printing, Cyber Security and outsourced Front and Back Office Services

There is great opportunity to become a specialist within these specific areas and to expand your existing skillset and knowledge across this remit. The role encompasses an international remit providing you with the opportunity to contribute to positive procurement outcomes outside of the UK. Join this dynamic and innovative International Indirect Procurement Team of 65 people and work alongside 25 esteemed procurement professionals in leading the Group Digital and Mobility Services Domain. Utilise your procurement expertise & commercial acumen to collaborate on an international scale and manage a diverse portfolio of suppliers across IT. This is a standout IT Procurement opportunity in the Defence industry with a spend of £50 million whereby you will work across a variety of complex, fast paced and unique value adding projects. Help drive the IT procurement function forward through the cultivation of strong relationships, effective contract & stakeholder management, and the delivery of cost savings.

Required skillset:

• Strong understanding of any aspect of IT or software procurement.
• Demonstratable experience of adding value and achieving cost savings within Indirect Procurement (ideally an IT related category).
• The ability to effectively manage stakeholders, source and select suppliers, negotiate and provide financial benefit to the business.
• Positive attitude to develop and expand your IT Procurement knowledge across a broad remit of subcategories.
• Indirect procurement experience - preferable to be within IT spend areas such as; Enterprise Software, SaaS and Software Services, Engineering & Manufacturing Software, Networks, Telecoms, Hardware, Printing, Cyber Security and outsourced Front and Back Office Services
• Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS.
