Are you passionate about driving positive change and shaping a more sustainable future? Do you thrive on building strong supplier relationships and managing complex services and capital spends? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

This organisation is a leading sustainability firm based in the heart of Berkshire. Their mission is to provide utilities services across the UK to create a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world, and they are dedicated to making a real impact. As a company, they embrace innovation, creativity, and collaboration to achieve their goals.

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will play a vital role in managing suppliers across professional services and complex capital spends, collaborating with every team across the business to identify new ways of value and growth, and ensuring you are enhancing an already best-in-class approach to procurement. Your expertise in supplier relationship management will be instrumental in driving efficiency and sustainability throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with our sustainability goals
  • Identify and onboard suppliers that share our commitment to sustainability
  • Oversee complex capital expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and environmental responsibility
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to sustainability standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline procurement processes and optimize resource utilisation
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement operations

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Contracts Manager or similar role, preferably in sustainability-focused initiatives
  • Strong background in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing
  • Familiarity with professional or indirect services, or complex capital spends is highly advantageous, but category experience can be broad and varied so long as you are adaptable and eager to learn
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and a keen eye for identifying environmentally responsible solutions.

What is on Offer:

  • Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum
  • Performance-based bonus of 10% + options for CIPS support
  • An opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization leading the sustainability movement
  • Flexible working arrangements, with two days per week in a modern Berkshire office and the remainder from the comfort of your home
  • A collaborative and supportive work culture that values innovation and personal growth

If you are ready to make a significant impact in a best-in-class procurement function and drive sustainability forward, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your CV to Molly at
