Indirect FM Procurement Category Manager / Industry-Leading FMCG Organisation / Birmingham / Flexible Working / Career Progression / £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

This industry-leading FMCG organization provides excellent opportunities for progression and is therefore seeking an Indirect FM Procurement Category manager to join the team and fill a vacancy following an internal promotion. During this role you will be responsible for devising and implementing effective procurement strategy across the end-to-end procurement function in relation to indirect FM and Property procurement.

Indirect FM Procurement Category Manager responsibilities…

• Effectively devise, implement and manage procurement strategies across the end-to-end procurement function across the indirect FM procurement space particularly in relation to Property and Capex procurement
• Business partner with key stakeholders to gain invaluable knowledge and maximise value, from senior internal colleagues to high-profile suppliers
• Manage the contract management process through effective governance and risk mitigation as well as contract negotiation
• Undertake a variety of day-to-day procurement activities from vendor and tender management to strategic sourcing and continuous improvement- enabling each day to be different from the next

Indirect FM Procurement Category Manager requirements…

• Ability to demonstrate past procurement success across the end-to-end procurement function within the indirect space, ideally with exposure to FM, Capex and/or Property procurement
• Strong skills surrounding contract management, stakeholder relationship management and strategic procurement

Indirect FM Procurement Manager responsibilities…

• Devise, implement and manage effective procurement category strategy across the end-to-end procurement function in relation to the FM procurement category covering both soft and hard procurement
• Provide effective leadership through developing, coaching and mentoring 2 passionate up-and-coming procurement professionals
• Effectively business partner with a range of stakeholders, on both a UK and Global basis, to build effective and credible relationships that facilitate procurement project delivery
• Undertake a range of day-to-day procurement activities, from contract and supplier management to tender management to continuous improvement and identification of savings opportunities

Indirect FM Procurement Manager requirements…

• Strong indirect FM procurement experience across the end-to-end procurement function with exposure to both soft FM procurement and hard FM procurement
• Strong skills surrounding category management, strategic sourcing and stakeholder relationship management
• Past leadership experience would be advantageous but not essential
