**NEW IT CATEGORY PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST ROLE AT A LEADING GLOBAL INSURER**

IT Category Procurement Specialist - Leading Insurance Company - £50,000-£65,000 + CIPS sponsorship- London based.

My client is a leading global Insurance Company based in one of London's iconic buildings. This Fortune 500 company has a market leading claims service and a large variety of specialist insurance divisions.

In this role, you would be involved in embedding the centralized procurement function and delivering the first point of in-house advice for supplier contracts. You will be responsible for understanding the business procurement operations and strategic intent, with the help of the company's empowering culture behind you!

Role of an IT Category Procurement Specialist:

• Managing the IT category within procurement inc., IT hardware and software, data services PaaS, SaaS and IT consultancy
• Understanding and implementing strategic procurement intent into business operations and being responsible for developing the IT category strategy within the organization.
• Maintaining supplier and stakeholder relationships, monitoring SLA's and contract performance.
• Analyzing cost and saving opportunities and being accountable for the end-to-end procurement sourcing process as per the needs of the business.
• Working with the compliance team to complete regulatory requests from FCA, PRA and Lloyd's
• Advising on legal commercial procurement matters as well as managing risks and procurement contract structure.

To be a successful IT Category Procurement Specialist:

• Qualified at CIPS level 4 or building towards this qualification (however, not mandatory).
• Understand software licensing models and procurement approaches.
• Have an IT category strategic procurement background and are welcoming procurement generalists.
• Experienced in managing complex procurement negotiations and regulating material and cloud outsourcing for the business.
• Can build relationships with procurement suppliers and stakeholders.
• Experienced in dealing with all forms of IT services in addition to outsourcing contracts.
