Due to recent internal promotions and growth this prestigious £Multi-Billion Global Travel Firm seek an esteemed 2x Procurement Manager to join their highly skilled engineering services procurement function. The successful candidate will acquire great autonomy within a crucial area of the business through the management of a diverse category area equipped with multiple high value engineering service contracts.

This highly regarded global airliner based in West Sussex are offering hybrid working (3x office days) and a lucrative package: £60 - 69k base salary, 10% bonus, 6% + 10% pension contribution, a travel allowance of 7x free flights per year and 25 days annual leave.

Role Accountabilities:

• Conduct detailed category analysis relating to spend & volume in support of both strategic and operational procurement.
• Devise category strategies to reduce cost of ownership and generate commercially beneficial outcomes via strategic sourcing, negotiations and contract management.
• Implement procurement plans and continuously improve processes in order to deliver business objectives and generate commercial gain for the business.
• Conduct supplier research, make informed decisions on selecting suppliers and manage the tendering process, supplier negotiations and supplier relationship management.
• Effectively manage high value, long term contracts - draft, negotiate terms and conditions and implement robust commercial contracts.
• Ensure stakeholder management is productive, collaborative and adds value to the business.
• Report into senior management and identify opportunities to shift strategic focus on current and future procurement activities.

Desired Experience:

• High level of procurement experience in a Legal, Supply Chain or Business Management area - highly transferable industry experience would come from aviation, automotive or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, the ability to manage contracts and negotiate important commercial deals with large supplier organisations.
• Competence to develop and implement category management independently.
• Experience of using procurement tools and display confidence in researching, utilising, assimilating and processing data from a variety of sources.
• Knowledge / experience of procurement within aviation / aerospace or engineering industries would be preferable.
