Procurement Consultant for leading procurement specialist/ London based 1 day in office per week/ £45,000 - £55,000 salary.
This prominent UK-based procurement specialist is actively in search of a driven and ambitious procurement consultant to become a valued member of their tight-knit procurement team. Joining this team signifies a substantial step towards advancing your career within a recognized industry leader in procurement. Your role will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities, from taking the lead in executing client savings projects to astutely identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. Within this dynamic procurement team, you'll find yourself at the forefront of strategic sourcing, having successfully procured nearly £1 billion worth of goods and services for renowned household-name clients, showcasing your potential for meaningful impact and professional growth.
In the role of procurement consultant, you'll report to a Principal Consultant, with room for future growth. Your responsibilities include leading client savings projects, overseeing tender activities, assessing cost reduction opportunities, guiding clients through procurement, and producing project updates. Building strong client relationships and identifying sales opportunities are key. You'll also provide category insight, policy guidance, and procurement expertise. Your contributions will shape this Procurement team's development, enhancing internal methodologies and operations.
Key requirements for this role:
- Procurement experience within the private or public sector across multiple indirect categories.
- Prior experience delivering cost saving outcomes.
- Experience in managing on-going supplier relationships and delivering value through this.
- Proficient stakeholder management skills emphasizing the importance of building and nurturing stakeholder relationships.
