My client is a Leading Global FTSE 250 Aerospace & Defence firm who have experienced tremendous growth in revenue, headcount and the number of state-of-the-art facilities. Due to this constant expansion a Senior Construction Supply Chain Manager position has been made available to join this Defence Technology firm's world class procurement function.

The successful construction procurement professional will oversee a £Multi-Million spend across the Construction category covering the strategic sourcing of raw materials through to infrastructural maintenance of a variety of sites across the UK. The senior construction supply chain manager will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and conduct business development to facilitate the improvement of new sites. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and great responsibility as the Construction procurement professional will be procuring strategically for the whole business rather than on a tactical project basis..

• The client is offering the Senior Construction Supply Chain Manager a Salary range of £60 - £68k + Package, discretionary bonus, double matched pension and employee incentive schemes.
• The client has adopted an adaptive and flexible working culture with hybrid working conditions - compressed working fortnight and 2/3 office days per week. The Supply Chain Manager roles can be based out of multiple locations throughout Southern and Western England.

Construction - Senior Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:

• The construction procurement professional will be responsible for delivering and executing the cost effective and timely delivery of construction procurement end-to-end sourcing projects.
• Responsible for driving the procure to pay sourcing process, supplier risk management and collaborating with senior leadership to deliver procurement strategies initiated by internal stakeholders and subcontracts supporting customer funded work.
• Negotiates favourable terms using the appropriate contracts (NEC) with supplier and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of construction works.
• Knowledge of the regulations relating to Sub-contract management.
• Identify & deliver areas of improvement and lead initiatives for positive change.
• Lead negotiations of contract terms and conditions (supported by legal team). Create relationships with both internal & external suppliers whilst identifying and developing future suppliers relationships.

Required Experience;

• Demonstratable experience of strategic sourcing and managing the end-to-end procurement process. Proven track record of managing a £Multi-Million of construction related.
• Proven ability to effectively negotiate, contract manage to add value and achieve cost savings for the business.
• Knowledge of different types of contracts including NEC. Proven contract negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence make vs buy decisions, mitigate risk and create opportunity.
• Confident communicator, influencer & relationship builder. A professional who is detail orientated by nature and possesses the ability to problem solve and manage stakeholder relationships.
• CIPS / MCIPS and Degree all preferable.
