An exciting Greenfield opportunity has arisen to work in conjunction with the Head of Procurement to evolve and transform the procurement function at a rapidly growing manufacturing organisation. Following a series of acquisition and the recruitment of talented & visionary leadership team, the largest distributor in the UK of manufactured fluid power solutions seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to drive commercial benefit and positively influence the internal transformation to shape the new and improve industry landscape.

The successful candidate requires relevant industry experience in industrial manufacturing industry and will be tasked with the development and implementation of greenfield procurement strategy during an exciting period of growth. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a rapidly upscaling fluid power firm who have established themselves as leaders in the market. With procurement having previously been sat within supply chain, there is unique opportunity to make tangible impacts and implement instant change.

The senior procurement manager will be responsible for developing a category roadmap and assist the Head of Procurement in both establishing and embedding procurement processes and policies to help the new procurement function to flourish.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong procurement background within a industrial manufacturing/engineering/MRO or another relevant industry.
• Strong commercial acumen to effectively influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders during a period of change/transformation.
• Strong contracts management experience - negotiation of terms and conditions.
• Experience across both direct and indirect spend is preferred.
• MCIPS ideal but not required.
