Location - Germany; Flexible remote base

This rapidly growing IT Services company requires a talented regional IT purchasing manager to lead the team and procurement operations in in the DACH and CEE region. You will play a critical role in business partnering with executive business stakeholders across the DACH and CEE regions to improve procurements value-proposition within the region whilst training and developing a small team of 2 direct reports. You will be part of a global network of over 400 talented procurement professionals across the company.

You will be offered a flexible role with the opportunity to have your home base anywhere in Germany and only traveling when necessary to meet with your team and stakeholders.

The Regional IT Purchasing Manager will have responsibility for:-

Full ownership of the IT Procurement category strategy for the region ensuring good process management from demand gathering to contract negotiation and vendor onboarding for a variety of IT spend (Hardware, software, networks, telco) including sourcing, contract management, and bid supportWorking closely with global procurement colleagues to align global and regional objectives, targets and processesBuilding strong relationships with the sales team to ensure procurement is always involved in Bid Management process at an early stageManaging a high volume of suppliers across multiple IT spend categories totaling more than €100M in annual purchasing budgetProviding subject matter expertise on IT procurement matters to internal stakeholders at all levels including executive leadershipCreating rigorous and detailed spend analytics to report on procurement activities and show a clear understanding of the market

The position of Regional IT Purchasing Manager will place you on the front-lines of the business, rather than acting as a support function to the organization. The role will require someone with a big personality and excellent stakeholder management skills to make themselves very visible within the organization and demonstrate their capacity to deliver added-value.
