We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced procurement professional to join us in the role of Procurement Lead for a 2-year fixed term contract. You will work closely with the Strategic Procurement Programme (SPP) team and wider council stakeholders to deliver the procurement and mobilisation activity for the council’s upcoming property construction and related services contract.
In this role you must understand and be able to deliver end to end contract lifecycle processes in accordance with public procurement legislation and council policies to achieve value for money in a timely and efficient manner.
You must be able to evidence a sound knowledge of procurement practices and legislation within the public sector and ideally benefit from knowledge and/or experience within the property/construction sectors
As an individual, you will need to be highly organised, and used to dealing with a complex workload.

Your base will be the Civic Centre; however, the council adopts a flexible working, which includes home working where business needs allow.
Additional information:
The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week.
This is a fixed term position for 2 years.
