Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid: 1-2 days in office), in multiple locations

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience) + Generous Package

Market leading Energy Services firm, with over £500m annual spend are seeking multiple procurement professionals to join their construction procurement team as category buyer at junior or senior grade.

You will join their established procurement team, ideally commuting in on average 1-2 days a week (or 5, should you prefer). Formed over 100 years ago, this energy supplier has enjoyed a consistent increase in market share, and now seek to redefine their procurement processes in the name of sustainability. You will achieve this by implementing innovative procurement strategies for construction goods and services to meet and grow customer demand.

My client is passionate about building a workforce for the future, and consequently are inviting applications from candidates of varying experience, even if they do not tick all the boxes. They are ideally seeking those who possess:

• An understanding of the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar markets.
• Proven experience in implementing procurement strategies to maximize commercial benefit.
• A track-record for cost-cutting through spearheading the tendering process, including negotiations and contract drafting. It is preferable you are experienced with NEC and FIDIC contracts, but this is not essential.
• Experience in engaging with and challenging internal and external stakeholders to maximise margins.
