Role & Company Background

An exciting opportunity has arisen to drive growth and deliver value within a greenfield procurement function at a rapidly growing manufacturing distribution business who lead the market in the power solutions field. This industrial distribution firm provide a diverse range of engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics products from 1000s of suppliers across both the UK and mainland Europe.

Following a series of acquisition and the recruitment of talented & visionary leadership team, they seek a Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager to drive commercial benefit and influence shaping the industry landscape in an exciting period of growth.

The successful candidate will possess a strong procurement acumen and ideally have exposure to working within components distribution, spares or an industrial manufacturing / engineering services firm. The Senior Buyer will be tasked with implementing procurement strategies and delivering cost savings across a broad variety of direct spend. This a unique opportunity to become an integral part of both a rapidly upscaling power firm and high growth procurement function. With procurement having previously been sat within supply chain, there is unique opportunity to make tangible impacts and implement instant change.

They are offering a lucrative package of c.£50 - £60k DOA + 15% Bonus & Car Option, based out of their Lancashire head office.

Preferable Experience:

• Several years of direct procurement experience.
• Exposure to purchasing MRO, spares, components, engineering services and industrial parts.
• Experience working within a Distribution firm.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a growth mindset, ambition and the ability influence.
• The ability to operate at pace, be proactive and identify issues and problem solve to improve processes.
