Nationally recognized as a top tier legal firm, my client is now seeking to expand their award winning team with a brand new role for a Supplier Management Specialist. This is a fantastic time to join the organization and work with high-end procurement professionals who are keen to drive change.

My client recognizes that the 9-5 office requirement isn't for everyone, so have introduced a 'flexible by choice' way of working which caters to home working, flexible hours, and office presence, working whichever way suits you best.

Role and it's responsibilities:

This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Supplier Manager and Group Head of Procurement in delivering the business' Supplier Management Strategy during an exciting time of significant transformational change. This is a management and enablement role for the Group, which requires the ability to drive value from the supply chain, develop and maintain strategic relationships and deliver a number of high profile, complex, project activities.

  • Supporting Senior Supplier Manager with the embedding of a centralised supplier management framework.
  • Developing a full and detailed understanding of the supplier, segmenting suppliers, identifying and targeting opportunities to develop sustainable collaborative relationships, across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, while delivering value for money.
  • Proactively managing the strategic partners to optimise performance, drive innovation, adhere to responsible business best practice and minimise risk exposure. Deliver long term strategic planning that aligns with the business' goals and strategic objectives
  • Delivering strategic insights to key business partners, supporting the ongoing delivery of our core products and services.
  • Supporting the development, documentation and continuous improvement of supplier management tools & templates, policies, procedures and processes in line with best practice, ensuring accurate and auditable records and a consistent reliable approach.

The team are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous, relevant experience of strategic supplier management and contract management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels
  • Ability to identify and track benefits realization opportunities, supplier performance, and forecasting & financial planning
  • Knowledge of supplier management principles, models and tools
  • Previous experience of the use of S2P technology in the management of suppliers
