My client, an FMCG juggernaut with over five decades of dominance in the market, are seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to join their seasoned team of procurement experts.
This isn't just a job; it's a gateway to unparalleled career growth. With exclusive CIPS Sponsorships and exposure to end-to-end project procurement, you'll fast-track your development, bypassing the conventional slow lanes of career progression. You'll emerge ready to conquer any corporate landscape, backed by the sterling reputation of one of the UK's foremost procurement powerhouses.
But that's not all. Step into a culture where collaboration meets ambition, where targets are surpassed, and accolades abound. From coveted titles like 'Employer of the Year' to 'Top 100 Graduate Employer' to 'Best Implementation of Workplace Wellbeing,' their track record speaks volumes.
As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will:
- Elevate Procurement Excellence: Provide expert assistance in a range of essential procurement tasks, including sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship management, and award recommendations.
- Forge Strategic Alliances: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to pinpoint company needs and drive the creation of impactful category management strategies.
- Unleash Growth Potential: Harness the power of market and spend data analysis to uncover lucrative opportunities for commercial expansion. Present your insights to inform category planning and sourcing strategies, driving tangible business growth.
Junior Procurement Specialist requirements:
- Solid experience in procurement, with a preference for FMCG or Retail backgrounds, although this is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with the contracting and tendering process, including drafting, and negotiating. While knowledge of contract law and terminology is beneficial, it's not a prerequisite.
- Strong academic foundation, having studied to A-Level standard and either completed or in pursuit of a CIPS qualification.
This is a hybrid role, where you will be based 3 days a week (or as many more as you prefer) at their headquarters in the West Midlands, and the rest from home.
