IT Procurement Specialist - Consulting - Central Government Project (Bath 2 days) -£55,000-£70,000

This boutique Consulting firm, specialising in Construction, Property, Defence and Infrastructure, are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join their team in Bristol, to support a central government project. This consulting firm are going through strategic transformation, and are expanding their best-in-class procurement function.

You will be responsible for managing the procurement process for IT products and services, ensuring compliance with government regulations and delivering value for money solutions. You will be given the opportunity to work on a major multi-million pound project, with a significant Central Government body in the UK, providing the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders, enhancing your own portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT procurement strategies in line with government guidelines and project requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and internal policies.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide expert advice on procurement best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT procurement, preferably within the public sector or government projects.
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations, including EU procurement directives and UK government procurement frameworks.
  • Must already have or be eligible for full Security Clearance
