Procurement Specialist - IT - Public Sector - Construction Consulting Firm - Bristol - £55,000-£70,000
This boutique construction and infrastructure consulting firm are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join their ambitious team, to work alongside a prominent UK central Government department.
This rapidly expanding firm undergo transformational change as they expand their procurement function. This firm offers the opportunity to work on major capital projects across the country, working closely with key central government departments. You will liaise closely with both internal and external stakeholders, bringing insight and strategic procurement solutions to this multi-billion pound project. This role offers the chance to make a difference, working within the public sector, whilst building your portfolio to enhance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT procurement strategies in line with government guidelines and project requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and internal policies.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide expert advice on procurement best practices.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Key Requirement:
- Proven experience in IT procurement, preferably within the public sector or government projects.
- Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations, including EU procurement directives and UK government procurement frameworks.
- Must already have or be eligible for full Security Clearance
